To Help You Get the Most Out of Medicare

Where can I get help paying for my health costs?

There are many programs designated to help you with your health costs.
Medicaid is a joint federal/state program that helps with medical costs for some people with limited income and resources. Contact your state Medicaid office to see if you qualify for assistance.
Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) help pay premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, copayments, prescription drug coverage costs. Contact your state Medicare Savings Program to see if you qualify – if you do, you will automatically qualify for Extra Help.
Extra Help is a program to help people with limited income and resources pay Medicare prescription drug program costs, like premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance. To see if you qualify you may call your local Social Security office.
PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a Medicare/Medicaid program that helps people meet health care needs in the community. PACE is only available in some states that offer PACE under Medicaid so be sure to ask your state Medicaid office about your eligibility.
